The front subframe of the E36 is a known stress area, particularly around the engine mount pads and control arm ball joint mounting points. Increased grip, stiffer mounts, and track use can fatigue the factory sheet metal in these areas, leading to cracking or deformation over time.

We created this Front Chassis Reinforcement Plate Combo to make it easy to address the primary front subframe failure points all at once, rather than installing individually. This kit reinforces both the engine mount area and the ball joint mounting points on the front subframe, helping spread load into stronger sections of the subframe.

The plates are designed to be welded directly to the front subframe, becoming part of the structure. The engine mount pad reinforcements are intended to be welded to the underside of the front subframe, where cracking most commonly occurs. All plates are precision cut from 1/8" steel, with the exception of the ball joint plates, which are 14 gauge. Professional installation is recommended.
